You often hear people discussing whether it’s worth paying lots for cheap crash helmets (and maybe replacing them more often) or paying for a good quality one. After all, if it’s DOT certified, then surely they’re all the same?
Here’s a fun video that’s worth a watch – it’s not exactly a scientific evaluation (for that, read our analysis here) but does show you how a SHARP 5 star helmet performs (the Marushin Samurai is a SHARP rated five star helmet). Not sure what the RZO is – possibly not available in the US. Which is why we recommend only Snell/SHARP four and five star helmets on this site*
