All our articles on AGV Crash Helmets can be found on these pages. AGV is an Italian manufacturer - started by accountant Gino Amisano in 1947 (AGV stands for Amisano Gino Valenza) - and bought out by Dianese in 2007. They make a range of good quality mid to high end helmets - evidenced by their excellent third place ranking in our look at the highest-scoring manufacturers in the SHARP helmet testing scheme. We'll assess the safety of AGV through their SHARP ratings (as well as DOT/ECE approval) because it seems AGV don't submit their helmets for Snell ratings (their last Snell-certified helmet was in 2005).The most famous rider who uses AGV helmets these days is undoubtedly still Valentino Rossi.
